Ex-Barcelona star Gaizka Mendieta says he is excited to represent his former club in the upcoming Legends match against Manchester United. The match will be played on Saturday 2 September at Old Trafford, and the Barcelona team will feature the club's stars of yesteryear such as Eric Abidal, Patrick Kluivert, Edgar Davids and Luis Garcia, as well as Mendieta. The game is the second leg of this Legends tie, after the Reds came away from the first-leg at the Nou Camp with a 3-1 win in June. Mendieta played 56 minutes in the first leg before being replaced by Gheorghe Popescu, and the former Middlesbrough man has revealed he is excited to face United again, and has called on fans from both clubs to create a memorable atmosphere at the Theatre of Dreams.
