Manchester United right-back Guillermo Varela has said he hopes to join Eintracht Frankfurt, where he has been on loan this season, on a permanent basis.
Valera joined the Bundesliga club on a one-year deal last July but suffered an ankle injury early in the season and has since featured in only seven competitive matches.
He could become crucial in the run-in amid an injury crisis at the club and told reporters he preferred life in the German city to Manchester.
"I would like to stay here. If the club want it that way, it's an option," he said.
