Manchester United's owners have suffered a fresh blow after they were outbid in their attempts to buy one of the two new franchises in cricket's Indian Premier League.
Sportsmail reported last week the Glazers were among up to 18 parties to have collected the tender document for the purchase of one of the franchises ahead of an auction this week, with the IPL set to expand from eight teams to 10 from next season.
But it has now emerged that Indian industrial conglomerate RPSG, led by businessman Sanjiv Goenka, and private equity firm CVC Capital have won the respective bids.
