Michael Carrick doesn't want Manchester United's players to use their heavy fixture list as an excuse in their bid to win a unique cup treble this season.
Carrick is one of two survivors at Old Trafford from the United team that won the Premier League and Champions League in 2008, playing 57 games along the way.
But this season promises to be even busier with United on course to feature in an astonishing 66 matches if they can reach the FA Cup and Europa League finals in addition to winning the EFL Cup at Wembley.
So far Jose Mourinho's side have coped well with their difficult juggling act though Monday night's FA Cup quarter-final tie at Chelsea looks particularly daunting after a long trip to Russia yielded a 1-1 draw against Rostov in the last-16 of the Europa League on Thursday.
