Manchester United's preparations for the resumption of the Premier League season took a setback on Tuesday night as a friendly with Stoke was cancelled at the last minute.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were due to play The Potters at their Carrington training base but it was abandoned after some of the Championship side's players had started to arrive.
There has been no official confirmation as to why the fixture was axed but reports suggest it was an issue on Stoke’s side that forced it.
