Manchester United 'will return to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona in January' after summer loan bid failed - with Barca happy to sell to boost their failing finances

After an erratic start to the season, Manchester United are already plotting to bring in reinforcements in the January window and they could return for a target they missed out on last summer.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele is still of interest to Old Trafford chiefs and they could make a bid to sign him at the start of 2021.

However, the Spanish publication say that United would only try and land the 23-year-old on a loan deal until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

Manchester United could return with a fresh bid for Ousmane Dembele in the January window
Barcelona only wanted to sell Dembele last summer while United made a loan offer for him

That proved to be a stumbling block in recent negotiations between the two clubs as Barcelona, who are still counting the cost of the coronavirus pandemic on the club, were only interested in a sale.
