Manchester United are hoping for a loophole which means star signing Edinson Cavani will not have to self-isolate for 14 days, according to reports.
Currently, due to not being in an elite athletes bubble and living amongst the general public, the Uruguayan has to quarantine for two weeks - meaning he will miss United's Premier League clash against Newcastle next Saturday.
Under UK government guidelines, anyone arriving in the country from France has to self-isolate for 14 days, which would see Cavani having to delay his involvement until October 19, but United are asking questions to see if the striker can join up with his team-mates sooner.
