Manchester United are reportedly ready to make David De Gea the highest-paid goalkeeper on the planet, as they are prepared to hand him a £350,000-per-week deal to stay at Old Trafford.
According to Paul Hetherington of the Daily Star Sunday, the Red Devils are keen to tie the Spain international down for the long term and end any lingering interest in his services from Real Madrid.
"With high-earners Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marouane Fellaini expected to be off the wage bill next season, that would help Jose Mourinho pay for De Gea's huge rise," Hetherington noted.
