Manchester United to deliver 60,000 meals to NHS staff at four sites across the city as they help those in the battle against the coronavirus crisis

Manchester United will despatch the first consignment of 60,000 prepared meals for NHS staff from Old Trafford on Friday.

The meals are being delivered free-of-charge to four sites across the city to benefit workers at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust battling the coronavirus pandemic who normally have to provide their own meals on duty.

More than 80 permanent and casual staff at United have volunteered to prepare the meals in the kitchens at Old Trafford with the club and Manchester United Foundation covering the costs.
