When in Tinseltown, you never quite know when you're going to bump into someone famous.

And so it proved for Juan Mata when Hollywood A-lister Julia Roberts dropped in to watch Manchester United's training session on Tuesday.

The actress, star of Pretty Woman, Notting Hill and Erin Brockovich, clearly has a soft spot for United and visited Old Trafford last season.

The film star visited Old Trafford last November and watched United's match with West Ham

Mata and United have been training in Los Angeles on the first leg of their pre-season tour

So with Jose Mourinho's team stationed in Los Angeles on the first leg of their pre-season tour of the United States, Roberts popped in to watch them train at UCLA's Drake Stadium.
