Old Trafford looked more like a scene off of a Christmas card as people woke up to their pancakes on Shrove Tuesday.
The Manchester United stadium was blanketed in snow after the North West had been hit by freezing temperatures on Monday night.
Even the stadium grow lighting, which is used to help the playing surface regenerate between matches, couldn't thaw the white stuff as the pitch turned from green to white overnight.
Down the road at the Old Trafford cricket ground there was a similar scene as the oval surface was buried under the snow.
