Manchester United remain on course to set record levels of revenue, the club’s latest figures reveal.
The Old Trafford outfit expect to bring in £560million to £570m for the financial year, although debt has risen from £348.7m to £366.3m - thanks to the US dollar’s performance against the pound.
Officials had previously forecasted revenues of £530m to £540m. Commercial revenue is up a fraction on the previous 12 months but broadcasting revenues have been boosted by 12.9 per cent on the back of the Premier League’s new TV deal.
Perhaps worryingly, there is a slight decrease in matchday revenues, which are down 1.
