Manchester United scout David Friio is in discussions to join French side St Etienne.
44-year-old Friio, who played for Plymouth and Nottingham Forest, was United's scout in France and recommended the signings of Paul Pogba and Gabriel Obertan.
Friio took up a scouting role with the Old Trafford outfit in his native France when he finished patrolling midfields in 2006.

Ligue 1 outfit St Etienne are also talking to Manchester City scout Romain Poirot.
St Etienne, who were defeated by United in the Europa League round of 32, currently sit seventh in the French top flight.
