Manchester United remain relaxed about David De Gea's contract situation, despite having been in talks over a new deal since August, sources have told ESPN FC.
After two months of discussion, no progress has been made on his contract, which runs out at the end of the season. The club hold a one-year option in De Gea's deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2020.
United face the prospect of losing De Gea for free in 18 months' time. But while the club remain calm about the situation, there is a realisation they will have to match De Gea's ambitions if they are to keep him.
