Jose Mourinho has delivered another snub to Luke Shaw after confirming that the England defender will not play against St Etienne in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Shaw has not appeared for United since the end of January after falling out of favour with Mourinho, casting doubt over his future at Old Trafford.
Three of his last seven starts have come in the Europa League and he could have expected to earn a recall in the last 32 tie at home to Saint-Etienne.
But when asked if the 21-year-old might play in the first leg against United's French opponents, Mourinho quickly shut the door on that possibility.
