Manchester United have been alerted to a possible new face in their attempts to overhaul their transfer department after a stunning admission from Marc Overmars.
Overmars, the director of football at Ajax, has revealed his desire to take on a new challenge in the near future alongside colleague, and Old Trafford legend, Edwin van der Sar.
The Mirror claim that Overmars, 47, would satisfy United's criteria for the position which will be responsible for transforming their outdated recruitment model.
United have openly looked to recruit a director of football over the last three seasons with criticism levelled at the club after a series of poor, and costly, signings.
