Manchester United offside goal against Everton causes controversy as Jose Mourinho urgently calls for video refeering: So was Zlatan Ibrahimovic's effort onside?

Jose Mourinho was left walking away from Old Trafford on Tuesday evening convinced his side, with the help of assistant video-refereeing, would have emerged victorious.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic had the ball in the back of the net following a deft header in the first half, leaving goalkeeper Joel Robles scrambling on the line, but was instantly deemed to be offside by the onlooking linesman Scott Ledger.

Ander Herrera's clever cross found the Swedish talisman who looked to be played onside by Ashley Williams, but the officials' decision to scratch the goal off left Mourinho adamant video technology would not only help the referee and his team, but would also have seen the Red Devils win the game.
