Manchester United offer support to Chapecoense as Ed Woodward pens letter to Brazilian club after crash

Manchester United have written a letter to Chapecoense, the Brazilian club devastated by a plane crash, to offer support and sympathy.

Sportsmail understands that United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward penned a letter the day after the South Americans’ flight to Colombia ran out of fuel and hit the crest of a mountain last month.

The crash killed 71 people, including most of Chapecoense’s playing and coaching staff.
