Out-of-favour Morgan Schneiderlin is fighting for a spot in the Manchester United team for Wednesday’s EFL Cup clash with West Ham.
Jose Mourinho brought Bastian Schweinsteiger back in from the cold for Sunday’s Premier League draw against the same opponents and could claim a place in the squad.
Schneiderlin trained with the squad this week after not being named on the bench at the weekend or the Europa League tie with Feyenoord last Thursday.
The Frenchman, who cost £25million from Southampton last year, has made just three starts under Mourinho.
