Michael Carrick is to be given a Manchester United testimonial at the end of the season.
The midfielder, 35, has been at the club for 11 years after joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2006.
No opponent for the clash has been confirmed, however, Newcastle United could be a contender.
Carrick is a product of the famous Wallsend Boys Club and turned the Magpies down as a youngster.
He opted to join West Ham instead and rose through the ranks with the Hammers.
