The German looked more than happy to be holding hands with the tennis superstar as they walked through the streets of Cheshire before enjoying lunch together.
When asked if he hoped to play against West Ham in the EFL Cup quarter-final on Wednesday night, Schweinsteiger replied: 'I hope so. I want to play in every game.'
