Lukaku pulled United back into the game, firing into the roof of the net after great work from Marcus Rashford on 33 minutes. Herrera himself grabbed the leveller six minutes later with a cute flicked finish, but the Reds could not find the winner.
Herrera spoke to MUTV after the game and with the Spaniard believing Reds fans will see the best of the Belgian over the busy Christmas period.
“When the ball was fed to him, he held it for the team, Herrera told MUTV.
“He was not selfish at all, he was playing with us without shining, but he was good for the team and he has to build on that.
