Manchester United hold memorial service at Old Trafford to mark 59th anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster

Manchester United paid a touching tribute outside Old Trafford on Monday to remember the victims of the 1958 Munich Air Disaster.

A tragedy which rocked English football, eight United players were among 23 people killed when their flight crashed on its third attempt to take off from a slush-covered runway at Munich-Riem Airport, West Germany.

To remember those who lost their lives 59 years ago, the Premier League outfit held a memorial service on Monday afternoon.
