Manchester United have no issues with Jose Mourinho’s continued residence at the Lowry Hotel – and would allow him to see out the remainder of his contract based from there should he wish.
The Portuguese, appointed in May last year, is famously yet to find a more permanent home in the area and has based himself in a suite at the five-star landmark in Salford, bordering Manchester city centre.
That lead to questions in some quarters over his commitment to his new role.

However, United officials have never shared any such concerns and are relaxed about Mourinho’s living arrangements.
