Manchester United are preparing to make a £50m bid for Raphael Varane this summer, according to reports.
Varane, the Real Madrid defender, has already revealed contact has been made over a switch to Old Trafford, and it is understood the Bernabeu club are willing to sell the 24-year-old centre-half.
He is now in his seventh year in Madrid, and could finally join Man United after originally being chased by the club in 2011, when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge.
Varane opted to join Real that summer, when current Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho was in charge of Los Blancos, and he could link up with his former manager.
