Manchester United are considering a January approach for former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra.
The 31-year-old has impressed for Marseille over the past 18 months and he only missed out on France's squad for Euro 2016 due to injury.
The Frenchman was linked with a move in the summer as the likes of Galatasaray and Tottenham made enquiries over his availability.
But now, according to French news outlet Foot Mercato, Manchester United are the ones preparing a swoop for Diarra.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is ready to let Morgan Schneiderlin leave Old Trafford this January and he wants to bring in another midfielder to replace him.
