Victor Lindelof arrived at The Lowry Hotel alongside his girlfriend Maja Nilsson.
The Manchester United centre-back was pictured with his hood up as he walked up the steps to the main entrance.
The Lowry is a favourite haunt for United players and manager Jose Mourinho has taken up permanent residence in the hotel.
Lindelof's other half Nilsson, a Swedish blogger, arrived wearing a denim jacket and the couple are adapting to life in the North East.
