Manchester United defender Eric Bailly could face extended ban after Europa League dismissal

Eric Bailly could be hit with an extended ban after being sent off in Manchester United's Europa League semi-final against Celta Vigo.

The 23-year-old has impressed in his first season at Old Trafford but lost his composure towards the end of Thursday's 1-1 draw.

Bailly was handed a straight red card for pushing John Guidetti in the face, with Celta defender Facundo Roncaglia following him down the tunnel after raising his hand to the Ivorian in retaliation.

Both players are suspended for at least one European club competition match, meaning United centre-back Bailly will miss the Europa League final against Ajax on May 24.
