Injured Manchester United defender Chris Smalling was treated to a surprise meal for his 27th birthday on Tuesday by his fiancee, Sam Cooke.

Smalling is currently sidelined at United due to a broken toe, which is set to keep him out until the beginning of December.
His injury has been a contentious issue at United, with manager Jose Mourinho questioning Smalling's fitness before the extent of his injury was revealed.
