Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has set up a scheme to help the elderly in Mosborough, where he grew up.
Maguire is offering to supply a food package of everyday essentials in Mosborough, which is south East of Sheffield.
The England international and his father approached Herrings Top Shop about the idea for those aged 70 and over or their carers.
Maguire is eager to ensure that elderly residents in the area are able to cope during lockdown.
Maguire said: 'I am very proud of my Mosborough roots – it's where I grew up and where my family still live.
