Man Utd kick off Champions League campaign with impressive win

Manchester United did what they were supposed to do when they went into Bern, Switzerland on Wednesday and defeated Young Boys by a score of 3-0 during their first Champions League group stage match of the season.

United were led by midfielder Paul Pogba who netted a brace in the first half after a beautiful strike and a penalty kick after a hand ball by a Young Boys defender inside the 18 yard box.

Then in the second half, Anthony Martial added a goal which all but secured the win for the Reds.

Man United full-back Antonio Valencia didn’t make the trip to Bern, due to the fact that the match was being played on artificial turf, which has proved in the past o be an injury risk for him.
