Manchester United remain in talks with Aston Villa over the potential loan of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
Sportsmail revealed in October that Steve Bruce was keen to take Johnstone with him to Villa on a temporary transfer, however, a deal is still to be signed off.
As discussions continue, Championship rivals Norwich City, Bristol City and Wigan Athletic have also made approaches to United for the 23-year-old who is keen to gain more competitive game time.
Johnstone is well thought of by Jose Mourinho but the United manager recognises the young goalkeeper's need to play with David de Gea and Sergio Romero alternating for the Old Trafford club's fixtures so far.
