Gary Neville has told Jesse Lingard he doesn't have a 'god-given right' to a Manchester United send-off following angry criticism from the departing star's brother last week.
Lingard, 29, is set to leave Old Trafford upon the expiry of his contract at the end of June, having earned just two Premier League starts in what will prove his final United campaign.
The England star returned from a breathtaking loan spell at West Ham last summer with high hopes of becoming a first-team regular, but after falling out of favour again he is now heading for the exit.
