Manchester United's prospective takeover could be handed a major boost after Aleksander Ceferin revealed UEFA are considering allowing clubs with the same owner to play in the Champions League simultaneously.
The UEFA president admitted a rethink of existing rules is required around multi-club ownership.
European football's governing body currently prohibit clubs with the same owner from playing in the same competition.
Ceferin told Gary Neville's 'Overlap' YouTube channel that UEFA would explore whether to relax or keep the rule in place.
A change would represent a significant boost to Manchester United's takeover prospects, with the main bidders for the Red Devils having links to clubs in France.
