Man United: Sunderland hold talks with Red Devils for goalkeeper Nathan Bishop, as Black Cats reject Burnley's £10m bid for winger Jack Clarke

Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop is in talks to join Sunderland.

The 23-year-old joined United in January 2020, but is yet to make a senior appearance in his three-and-a-half years at the club.

He spent the 2021-22 season on loan at League Two side Mansfield Town, helping them make the play-off final before they were beaten 3-0 by Port Vale at Wembley.

Having returned to Old Trafford last season, he featured nine times for the Under 21 side.

He could now be set for a move to the Championship, with Sunderland looking to bolster their squad after narrowly missing out on promotion last term.
