Man United 'send out SOS call to university students to help predict injuries to new signings'

Manchester United have reportedly approached the University of Manchester for assistance with predicting injuries to new signings.

United have been hit with a number of injury blows this season, with Lisandro Martinez ruled out until late 2025 with a serious knee injury, while Luke Shaw and Mason Mount have also hardly featured due to their respective fitness issues.

Injuries were also a major problem last season under Erik ten Hag, and United paid the price by finishing down in eighth place.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe recently claimed that data analysis at the club 'doesn't really exist', adding 'we’re still in the last century on data analysis here'.
