A youthful Manchester United side were beaten 3-1 by Wrexham in San Diego as their pre-season preparations suffered a setback.
With the first team set to take on Real Madrid tonight, United manager Erik ten Hag opted for an experimental line-up that included veteran defender Jonny Evans.
But the Red Devils struggled to get a grip on the game, and after an early injury to star striker Paul Mullin, Wrexham took control and went two goals in front through Elliot Lee and Aaron Hayden.
Marc Jurado pulled a goal back for United on the stroke of half-time, but Wrexham restored their two-goal lead thanks to substitute Sam Dalby after United captain Dan Gore had been shown a straight red card for a studs-up challenge.
