Man United pay tribute to 1958 Munich Air Disaster victims ahead of clash with Crystal Palace... as stars wear black armbands

Manchester United paid tribute to the Munich Air Disaster victims during their clash with Crystal Palace.

Ahead of kick-off supporters congregated outside Old Trafford for a fan-led service underneath the Munich memorial plaque, with club CEO Omar Berrada present.

Ruben Amorim and Oliver Glasner both led their respective teams out and laid flowers on the ground minutes before the game.

United and Crystal Palace players also wore black armbands to commemorate the 67th anniversary of the disaster which claimed 23 lives, including eight players on February 6.

Busby Babes Geoff Bent, Roger Byrne, Eddie Colman, Mark Jones, David Pegg, Tommy Taylor and Billy Whelan were killed and Duncan Edwards died in hospital 15 days later.
