Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward has enjoyed an evening away from Old Trafford in the company of some friends from the world of football... and soap actor Jake Wood.

Woodward was pictured alongside Gary Lineker, who celebrates his 56th birthday on Wednesday, Lineker's four sons, Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish and Wood, famous for playing Max Branning in Coronation Street.

It was Lineker who uploaded the picture with the caption 'boys birthday bash'.
