Man United handed boost in pursuit of £86m-rated striker Rasmus Hojlund, as Atalanta 'close in on signing his potential replacement El Bilal Toure TODAY' after edging ahead of Everton in the race for his signature

Atalanta are reportedly looking to conclude a deal for Almeria forward El Bilal Toure today, in a potential boost for Manchester United in their pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund.

United have been keeping tabs on Hojlund in recent weeks as Erik ten Hag focuses on adding a new striker to his squad ahead of the new season.

The main sticking point with the deal has been the fee involved, with Atalanta seeking £86m to allow Hojlund to leave, while United are determined not to spend more than £60m on him.

However, it appears Atalanta may be already preparing for life without Hojlund after stepping up their interest in Bilal Toure.
