Solskjaer went from unknown Molde striker in 1996 to Champions League hero in 1999. At a time when Newcastle spent £15m on Alan Shearer, United paid for £1.5m for Solskjaer and few could have predicted the impact he’d have in England despite an impressive goal return in Norway.
