Liverpool break all-time Champions League record for goals scored in a single season

Liverpool have booked their place in the 2018 Champions League final playing some of the most attacking football ever seen.

Jurgen Klopp’s side scored seven goals across the two legs of their semi-final against Roma, adding a further two to the total they netted v Manchester City in the previous round.

But it’s not just the latter stages of the competition which have kicked Liverpool into life, as in their six group stage matches the Reds scored an incredible 23 goals.

In total, they have netted 46 matches in their 14 Champions League fixtures this season, including the two matches they played against Hoffenheim of Germany in the qualifying round.
