Jesse Lingard’s piledriver against Middlesbrough has been voted Manchester United’s Goal of the Month for March.
Just after the hour mark at the Riverside Stadium, the England international picked up the ball in midfield, drove towards the box and let fly with an unstoppable effort into the top corner, before celebrating with a Drake-inspired jig.
Of his superb strike, which put the Reds 2-0 up in an eventual 3-1 victory, Lingard said: "I was looking for the pass but there weren’t any options on at that moment, so I thought I’d hit it and luckily it went in.
