Two Swedish nationals were killed and a third was injured in Brussels by a man who was later shot dead by police.
Sweden were playing Belgium in a Euro 2024 qualifier at the King Baudouin Stadium in the city, but the game was suspended at half-time and spectators were asked to wait inside the venue before being evacuated.
Around 400 Sweden fans spent the night in hotels under police protection.
“I’m shocked and devastated by the terrible incidents in Brussels with the cold-hearted attacks on our fellow Swedes,” Lindelof wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
