Nikita Parris' 34th minute strike at Leicester was enough for Manchester United to keep hold of second spot, behind only unbeaten Arsenal and ahead of reigning champions Chelsea in the WSL.
Marc Skinner's side won their fourth successive game in the league against a struggling Leicester team that are still without a point for the 2022-23 campaign, and sit second-bottom of the table with only one goal scored.
After a poor showing in the first half, Leicester were much improved as the game approached the close, pressing high up the pitch and causing the visitors issues as they struggled to adapt to their switch in approach, but ultimately held on.
