Shrewsbury stopper Toby Savin was denied a dream move to Manchester United after failing two medicals at Old Trafford.
United wanted the 23-year-old to become their third choice keeper with 38-year-old Tom Heaton moving into a coaching role and Nathan Bishop having moved to Sunderland last year.
Savin was was playing for Accrington Stanley in League Two when he failed his first medical in January after being followed by scouts from United, Newcastle and Tottenham for the last three years,
The Englishman exited Accrington when the season came to a close and was on course to join United on a free transfer before failing another medical this month.
