Kevin Strootman has been banned for two games for diving against Lazio to win a penalty in Roma's 3-1 derby defeat on Sunday.
The midfielder fell under a non-existent challenge from Wallace, with Daniele De Rossi converting the spot kick to make it 1-1. It means Strootman will miss the games against Milan and Juventus.
A statement from Serie A confirmed the player's 'seriously unsportsmanlike conduct' would result in the suspension.
On the same day as Strootman was awarded a penalty against Lazio, Marcus Rashford was criticised for a similar incident in Manchester United's draw with Swansea, though the England international will not face a retrospective punishment.
