Jose Mourinho still living in Lowry Hotel after five months at Manchester United... but club won't put pressure on him to buy his own house

Manchester United will not put Jose Mourinho under any pressure to buy a house in the north-west as the Portuguese coach continues to live out of a hotel in the city centre.

Mourinho, who was appointed five months ago and has been staying at the Lowry Hotel since starting his new job in July, described the situation as 'a bit of disaster' on Tuesday.

While new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has moved into a city centre apartment with his wife Cristina and their three children, Mourinho has kept his family at their luxury £25million house in central London.
