Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho said his players were not playing to maximum capacity after they lost 2-1 at Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday, adding that defensive injuries have the club "in trouble."
Mourinho said his players had started the game like it was a friendly, leading to them conceding in the second minute, when Moussa Sow scored from a spectacular bicycle kick.
Jeremain Lens added the second for Fenerbahce with a fine free kick, meaning that Wayne Rooney's late, brilliant strike was not enough.
The United manager told BT Sport: "They [Fenerbahce] deserved to win.
