Jose Mourinho is shoehorning Marcus Rashford into a wrong position... the Man Utd forward is shooting, scoring and dribbling less this season than last

Marcus Rashford's preferred position is through the middle. It was from there that he introduced himself last season, with debut goals in the Premier League, Europa League, Manchester derby and on the international stage for England.

Louis van Gaal left, Jose Mourinho arrived, and Rashford’s first goal for Manchester United under his new manager came on one of the rare occasions that he has played as a centre forward. That was against Hull City on August 27, when he was brought on as a second-half substitute and scored a stoppage-time winner.

Yet the striker has since been shoved to the wing, where he is shooting, scoring and dribbling less and creating fewer chances this season than last.
